LBF has awarded grants annually to 6-8 institutions in the Washington, DC area that benefit abused women. Many of these were repeat grant recipients. The goal is to increase both the number and amount of grants as interest earnings and donations allow.

Eligibility Requirements for Institutions

• Demonstrate a financial need for programs associated with abused women
• Submit a detailed description of mission, goals, and philosophy of the institution
• Provide assistance to and other programs for women who have been abused
• Provide documentation that all laws, rules, and regulations for the institution's jurisdiction are in compliance

Application Deadline

• June 1st

The Successful Recipient Will

• Submit a written report to LBF officers, describing the year's activities, no later than the anniversary of the grant award
• Report annually at a public forum describing the use of the funds
